Dancemaker Studio (Utah Dance Studio Photography)

Woo Hoo, it's recital season! I was really fortunate to have the opportunity to create the class and individual dance portraits for Dancemaker Studio this year. I added a barre to my dance props this year, and I LOVE the way it turned out. Dance portraits are so fun with all the different costumes, and I enjoy seeing the excitement everyone has for their up-coming recitals. Thanks, V for this fun experience!

One more... (Utah Child Photography)

I thought I'd post this one more spring image...

I took this image specifically to put over my little girl's new bed. It has always been a goal of mine to have space for out-of-town siblings (aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, etc...) to come stay with us, so we put a queen bed in here to accomodate that. I got all of the furniture and lighting from IKEA (I love that store!) and the linens and curtains from Wal-Mart. It's now my favorite room in the house just because it's all matchy-matchy and finished! If you're interested in staying in the "garden room", call me! We love guests.

I can't wait to put a huge canvas gallery wrap of my little girl over the bed!

(Something like this!)

Show and Tell (Utah Children Photography)

I want to do an album of my kids and family portraits from this spring, and I thought I'd share a few of the ones I haven't posted yet. Some of these had to wait until after Mother's Day to post since they were gifts for me mums. I can't wait to pull this album together - we had a really great bloom this spring! I'm so into pink right now, too, and these are all so girlie. Since my son is turning 8 this summer, I focused more on my girls for this album (he'll probably get a whole album to himself later!)

The family image was taken by Allison of English Photography, who is one of my best friends and an incredible photographer. Go check out some more of our images on her blog! She really blows me away with every image she creates. Thank you so much for doing this for me, Allison, it turned out even better than what I had envisioned. You're a total photo diva!

Yikes! I'm way behind on blogging! I just wanted to post a quick thanks to Michael Gan and Leslie Artis-Gan for their "Transformations" class I attended. It was an amazing three days talking shop with two very talented Master Photographers and artists. What an experience! I am really hoping to get my Master's of Photog. in about two to three more years... We'll see! Meanwhile, the inspiration and education were so fantastic. The only thing that could have topped that was the food! Michael is a fabulous cook. I'm really hoping to go back next year for their "Spirt and Soul" week-long experience. If there are any photographers reading this, I HIGHLY recommend you check out Michael and Leslie's education experiences. It was so different from anything else I've experienced in the photog. education circuit, and a great value for a very reasonable price.

What gracious and fun hosts! Thanks for making us feel like long-time friends and right at home.

I dare you to NOT be inspired in this kind of setting.
