Feelin' the Love

Let's talk about Love for a minute. First of all, I absolutely LOVE this family. These are my fellow Harry Potter fanatics and neighbors. The kids have all been my babysitters for about 4 years now, and our family loves hanging out with their family. We get together every few months and do dinner. D is the BEST griller I have ever known, and is truly a magician with chicken. In fact, I brought my kids to their portrait session, and after we were done photographing, we had dinner in the canyon, and visited until dark. What an awesome way to end a family portrait session!

That brings me to my second point about love: these guys really love each other. Being around them, one gets the feeling that these guys would do anything for each other. They actually like hanging out with each other, and you can feel that bond even through the typical sibling teasing and bantering that occurs in every family. I really hope my kids have this bond as they get older, too.

Lastly, I LOVE fall family portraits!! The leaves in the canyon were just starting to turn last week, and I can just TASTE those colors in these images. I'm tempted to do my basement in fall colors just so I can always hang up gorgeous fall portraits. This is without a doubt my favorite time to be a photographer! If anyone wants to grab a fall session, I did have a couple cancellations, so my calendar has opened up a bit. There are only a couple weeks a year to get this look, so don't procrastinate.
