One Year and Sparkling (Utah Child Photography)

One of the reasons I love photography so much is because I can't remember diddly-squat. If it weren't for my images, I would lose much of my life to the fuzz of my grey matter. This is why moments - like a first birthday - are so important for me to record. Also, I love to see a passage of time by comparing images. I remember scanning my mother's photo album with our yearly portraits, flipping the pages back and forth like one of those hand-made doodle animation pads.

This session is Miss S's one-year old portrait. There are so many things in these images that are unique and special to her and her family. I love how personalized her mom made everything. I've said it before - the more planning that goes into an image, the better the results will be. We even rescheduled her original session just so I could paint a backdrop to accommodate Mom's artistic vision. I love these images, and struggled to resist posting the entire session. Thanks, T&M for this experience!
