Gems of the stage (Utah Dance Photography)

I'm back in the land of the bloggers! I know it's been way too long, but I had to take some time off to recuperate from the holiday season. Here is an extraordinarily fun session I did at the beginning of December. The Children's Ballet Theater does a holiday performance called "Molly Mouse's Sugar Plum Debut." It is an original production with exclusive hand-made sets, costumes, and original choreography. The most unusual thing about the production are these wonderful hand-crafted mouse heads that every dancer wears with his/her costume. They are not easy to see out of, so the performers have to know their parts extremely well. We did photograph the dancers without their "heads" on, but I had to share some of these amazing costumes in their complete forms.

How fun! We just saw the pictures of the costumes Liza and Sariah will be wearing in their recital this year. They are gorgeous. Wish you could come take pictures of them!
