Welcome to the land of the living!

I made it, and I'm two days early! My lab's deadline for Christmas prints is Monday, so I've been working like a mad woman, shut up in front of my computer for months, it seems. And now I get to come up and enjoy the rest of the holidays with everyone! Yeah! I still have plenty of work to do, but at least all the gifts are done and I don't have such a crunchy deadline looming over my head.

I've been dying to post this session since it happened several weeks ago. I wanted to wait, however, until my Christmas Cards went out so I wouldn't spoil the surprise. What is the absolute best thing about being a photographer? The fabulous portraits I get of my own kids! What is the absolute best thing about photographing my own kids? I only have myself to please. This session was a riot, if you can't tell. I started out trying to pose them and get those great smiles, but as it often does, the session started to morph to THEIR idea of how things were going to go down. I don't mind at all, in fact these are some of my favorite images I have of my kids. This one makes my cup runneth over.... *SIGH* I'm so in love with these little people.
This was what they gave me when I instructed them to "relax your faces!"
Photographing a 2-year old is always an adventure... you gotta click on this one.
She looks so much like me in the one on the right, it's quite alarming.
I had so many faces of this one I had a really hard time deciding on which one to use.
"The Epiphany"
Here's the card for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Complete with an extremely annoyed Serafina the cat. He (yes, HE) was NOT happy about this crazy costume and being forced to stay in one spot. I owe him big time...

By the way, the color saturation level appears to be off on this post. If you click each image, they look much better!

Man, where have I been? I loved your card this year. I thought that it turned out really good-reguardless if it wasn't what you really wanted to do.
