Studio Envy

I have a good friend, Ryan Cummings, who just the past year leased his own store-front studio. I cannot deny this is a dream I've had for a long time. There is just something about having that retail facade that really helps, I think, with marketing and name recognition. I've done numerous studies, however, and the overhead of running a store-front studio would be so great, I'd have to raise prices exponentially just to pay for that image, let alone have a successful, thriving business. I rented Ryan's studio on Saturday just to get a feel for the space and equipment, and although it was really nice, I left feeling like it wasn't anything I couldn't do in my current humble home studio. So I will be content with what I have for the moment, and frankly, it ain't so bad!K, your girls are so adorable! Thanks so much for being my guinea pigs! I have some really great ideas for your Christmas Card this year, and I LOVE the Scottie dog sweaters - they photographed perfectly. I'll have your gallery up soon.
