Mini Event for Halloween

There are few things in this life that I love doing better than making my kids happy. One really easy way to do this is by making their Halloween costumes, which, incidentally gives me quite a satisfying creative outlet as well. I absolutely LOVE Halloween. It's the one holiday that I never feel guilty about... that is to say, I never worry about what to give for Halloween, if I'm overlooking the True meaning of Halloween, or if I'm teaching my kids how to celebrate Halloween in their hearts. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy other holidays too, but Halloween always seems to just let me off the hook and allows me to relax and just have pure fun. Did I even mention the candy yet? Anyway, I've been wanting to do a Halloween event for the past couple years, and I know this is late notice, but I'm going to do a last minute mini event for anyone who wants some awesome Halloween portraits. Here's how it will work:

I will be available on Thursday, October 30 from 10:00 am til 7:00 pm at my home studio for Halloween portraits. The cost is $15 per digital file, which will be emailed to you unless 6 or more files are purchased. In that case, I will burn them onto a CD for you to pick up. Groups are allowed, but be aware that in my small home studio, I really can't do a good grouping of more than 4 or 5 (depending on the size of the subjects.) These portraits are going to be very simple, with no props, just showcasing your children (or yourselves!) and the costumes. You don't need an appointment, but if you make one ahead of time, I'll let you cut to the front of the line. If you have any questions, please call me (801) 556-1661. Also, would you PLEASE tell everyone you know about this event, as I am only posting it here on the blog, and in some direct emails.

Here are my kids in their Halloween glory this year:

The most beautiful Ariel ever to surface from the ocean: I was so pleased she chose this costume this year, as I've thought it her perfect alter-ego since she was born.

No, he's not Peter Pan, and he will get very offended if you suggest it. He is Link from the Legend of Zelda - thus both the bow and the sword. Check out that warrior face!

And finally, it's Mr. Tumnus from the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This is honestly her favorite movie and character, and she picked this as what she wanted to be for Halloween: it makes me laugh every time I think about her bizarre choice.

I really want to do this, but I'll have to make sure the Trae's costume will be done before I commit. I'll be in touch...
Ohhh Kris, These are darling! You have the most beautiful kids, too. Can't wait for you to take pictures of my kids again. Lori
