Mother's Day Gift 2008

My kids had my photo albums out this morning, and it made me very nostalgic. When I was growing up, my Mom had one album that had all of my siblings' and my school portraits in it. I remember looking through it for hours; comparing each sibling to each other; comparing myself at different ages. We laughed at what we were wearing one year, cringing at that haircut another year. It felt like a rite of passage each fall when we would add that year's portrait to the collection. Looking back, it was probably this one album more than anything else that influenced me to become a photograher. Now that I have my own kids, I have a rediculous number of scrapbooks and albums, full of snapshots and candid moments in time; however, it's my kids' yearly professional portraits that will always mean the most to me. Here's this year's storyboards that my moms are getting for Mother's Day next month, as well as some of our past images.

All of the pictures are darling! I can see a bit of littlist K in her Big brother. When you put the photos so close, you can see many resemble each other!
You should post a flashback friday post also, and tell about an old photo from your past, like we have.. It's fun to see what we used to look like, and remember the older days... :)
